Recently, the company also confirmed plans to have the mobile phone available for purchase on shelves as soon as next month, though they did not offer further info on the matter.

At the bada developer day in India, Samsung said that the new bada flagship model will be launched in October, but was mum on the markets that will receive it at that time.

However, the company did say that the phone will be rolled-out in various markets around the world sequentially, and that India will receive it as soon as November, Samsung Hub reports.

This is one of the first mobile phones that the leading handset vendor announced for the market with the new bada 2.0 operating system on board, and is also the most powerful of them.

Moreover, the mobile phone is packed with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which sports LED flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities, complemented by a front-facing camera for video calling.

The specifications list of the new device also shows 3GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot that enables users add up to 32GB of external storage space into the mix.

The new mobile phone also comes with WiFi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as with built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS, and the usual set of sensors. The Samsung Wave 3 is powered by a 1,500mAh battery.

The smartphone was unveiled just before the IFA 2011 show in Berlin (where we went hands-on with it), with the said bada 2.0 platform on board, and with various applications and services pre-loaded, including Samsung's new ChatON social service.
