Samsung seems ready to bring a lot of new goodies at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, and the list starts with a revamped TouchWiz user interface that will be showcased at the conference, probably on the Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH which the Korean mobile phone maker unveiled yesterday.

Along with the new 8MP slider, the company announced that the new TouchWiz UI would be fully unveiled at the MWC show, and it also presented some of the main features and capabilities the revamped version is meant to bring along. Among the highlights, there will be flashy 3D effects, better integration of photos and contacts as well as new gesture controls.

At the same time, Samsung says that the revamped TouchWiz UI will come along with a new widget dock, one that will allow users to download and manage new widgets for their phone's home screen. The company's user interface has had a small problem with the limited number of widgets available on it until now, but it seems that the phone maker worked on expanding its capabilities, and that should make users rejoice at least a little.

The haptic feedback on the new TouchWiz UI has also been enhanced from the previous version of the software. Along with the full 3D implementation, which would also include 3D transition effects, and some voice-related features, the other options of the revamped user interface seem appealing enough. According to Samsung, there are over 1 million phones in the world featuring its TouchWiz, but their number will surely rise after this version is showcased.

More details on Samsung's accomplishment will be available at the MWC conference in Spain. The company should unveil a new user interface able to attract a lot of customers, mainly due to the fact that competition seems to get tighter in the area. Also yesterday we learned that LG Electronics has also officially announced a new user interface sported by its LG Arena handset, called S Class UI, and which also comes with full 3D features.
