Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless announced last week that it would make the Windows Mobile 6.5-powered Samsung Omnia II available for purchase as soon as December 2 is here, and the carrier already placed the device up for grabs on its website. Expected to arrive at Big Red ever since September, the touchscreen-enabled phone brings appealing features to users, among which we can count the Swype technology that offers users the possibility to type up to 50 words per minute.

The handset can now be purchased from the carrier's website for $199.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement. Moreover, Big Red also chose to include the device in its very popular Buy One Get One Free promotion, offering users the possibility to get a new handheld for free on a two-year contract, as long as they sign such a contract agreement for each of the gadgets.
