We knew that Samsung is set to make available its Windows Phone 7-based Omnia 7 even before the official launch event on October 11th, and now we're getting closer and closer to the day when this device would become available for purchase. If in the UK, one can already pre-order the device from T-Mobile, which made the phone available on its website.

Just as previously reported, this Windows Phone 7 handset can be purchased from the wireless carrier for free upon the signing of a contract agreement on a £35 per month price plan.

The handset is not available exclusively at T-Mobile, and operators like Orange and Three UK also announced their plans to carrier the device, which means that, come Thursday, users in the country would have some appealing options available for them.

As for the handset itself, it is one of the most appealing Windows Phone 7 handsets to land on shelves during the ongoing year, with its 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display and with the 1GHz application processor inside.

“Welcome to a totally new mobile experience on the Samsung Omnia 7 with Windows Phone 7,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.

“Windows Phone 7 is intuitive and designed to give you a glance and go experience, with everything at your fingertips. Pin your favorite live tiles to the start screen to see your important stuff in an instant,” the company continues.

Some of the features the new phone comes on the market with include 3G HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity options, as well as a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, LED flash and HD video recording, or the 8GB of internal storage space.

Moreover, the mobile phone includes Internet Explorer Mobile, Xbox LIVE, Zune content in the Music and Video hub, and more.

Samsung Omnia 7 is the only phone with Microsoft Office Mobile built in, and Office hub gives you all your documents in one place. You can create, view and edit Windows documents, then share them with your colleagues using SharePoint,” T-Mobile continues.

Those interested in pre-ordering the new Windows Phone 7-based Samsung Omnia 7 from T-Mobile should head over to the carrier's website here.
