A week ago, Redmond-based software giant Microsoft announced officially that the first mobile phones powered by its new Windows Phone 7 operating system are set to land on shelves in various markets as soon as October 21st. Among these markets, we can count Singapore, where five Windows Phone 7 devices should make an appearance on the market in the coming weeks.

The list of Windows Phone 7 mobile phone headed for the market in Singapore includes the high-end HTC HD7, the HTC 7 Trophy, HTC 7 Mozart, LG Optimus 7, and Samsung Omnia 7.

Singapore is among the first countries around the world to get Windows Phone 7 devices, which are expected to arrive on the airwaves of all three wireless carriers in the country, namely SingTel, StarHub and M1.

The price tags for these handsets would range from $798 for the HTC Trophy, to $998 for Samsung's Omnia 7 and for the HTC HD7, though carriers would certainly put in place various offerings for their users.

The HTC HD7, the Windows Phone 7 device to land this year with the largest touchscreen display, will be released on the country exclusive on SingTel's airwaves, which announced that it would come up with three Windows Phone 3G Flexi price plans for its users.

“Windows Phone 7 offers endless possibilities for our customers’ mobile lifestyles and is the ideal platform for SingTel’s suite of innovative apps and services,” Mr Yuen Kuan Moon, SingTel’s Executive Vice President of Consumer Group, said.

“With the widest range of handset offerings and apps, we seek to enable our customers to enjoy the full potential of our unrivalled 3G mobile network.”

LG Optimus 7 and Samsung Omnia 7 are also expected to make an appearance on the Singaporean market on SingTel's network, the wireless carrier announced.

The HTC 7 Trophy was announced as being headed exclusively to M1, with a suggested retail price of $798 attached to it, set to provide users with a great Xbox LIVE gaming experience on its 3.8-inch touchscreen display that boasts a WVGA resolution.

Singapore's M1 has put in place a pre-registration page for Windows Phone 7 on its website, accessible via this link.

Another exclusive device in Singapore i the HTC 7 Mozart, which is expected to become available for purchase in the country via StarHub with a price tag of $868 attached to it.

The new HTC 7 Mozart was built from a single piece of anodized aluminum, while being packed with great multimedia features, such as SRS WOW HD, full integration with Microsoft Zune, along with Xbox LIVE support and more.
