Wireless carrier T-Mobile has just made another high-end smartphone available for its users for free upon the signing of a two year contract agreement, namely the Samsung Memoir. The handset has been unveiled officially to the world back in February 2009, and it is available for purchase from the carrier since the end of that month.

While until now the price tag for the Samsung Memoir at T-Mobile was of $199.99 with a two-year contract agreement, now the carrier's subscribers can get it for free on a deal for the same time frame with an Even More plan. For what it's worth, having a device that sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper and a full touchscreen display available for free sounds like a good deal, one should agree.

In case some of you might not remember what the Samsung Memoir comes to the market with, we should mention that its specifications list also includes support for 850 MHz;900 MHz;1800 MHz;1900 MHz frequencies, 3G capabilities, video recording features, support for Instant messaging: Yahoo!, Windows Live, AIM, picture messaging, E-mail and Internet browsing.

At the same time, it comes to the market with Bluetooth connectivity, speakerphone, built-in GPS, music player, video player, and a 1000mAh Li-ion battery that can deliver up to 4.8 hours of talk time or up to 9 days of standby time. The Samsung Memoir measures 4.2 x 2.1 x 0.6 inches and weighs in at 4.4 ounces. It also sports a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, and a 1GB memory card is included in the retail package.

When compared to other, newer mobile phones that are now available for purchase on the US market, and even from T-Mobile, the Samsung Memoir might not seem as appealing, yet one should not forget that the 8-megapixel photo snapper can prove a great option in many cases. T-Mobile users who would like to purchase the phone with an Even More Plus plan from the carrier will have to pay $449.99 for it. The phone is available here.
