Samsung's days of tablet-related hardships are going strong, now that it has decided to delay the Galaxy tab 10.1 in Australia, until such a time as the month of September has elapsed.

Samsung has focused on different product announcements lately, since a large part of its tablet efforts don't seem to be paying off.

There were even discussions that it might buy HP's PC division, though the rumors were quickly quelled.

The problems it is facing are in the shape of legal actions started by Apple in Europe and Australia.

Basically, Apple claims that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 infringes on several of its patents, hence the company's demands that it, and other products, be banned.

Verily, as though the injunctions in the EU were not enough, a judge banned some of Samsgun's phones (and might even ban its tablets) in the Netherlands as well.

Now, yet another report has emerged, one that offers an update on the situation in Australia, where the first Apple-Samsung quarrel started.

Even though Samsung claimed that the slate was not, in fact, banned there, sales ended up delayed anyway.

The Korean outfit decided, as announced in a hearing, to hold off on selling the products until September 30.

The decision had been previously taken to delay release so that Apple may have at least seven days to look them over (until the hearing in question).

Needless to say, Apple is determined to see to it that Samsung's Galaxy tab 10.1 does not take off, although Samsung has chosen to respond in kind, promising that it will file a cross claim against Apple Australia and Apple Inc.

One can definitely expect the two to keep fighting over tablets and phones over the next months (September 26 and 29 are when the next hearings are set). What remains is to see if the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be banned in the meantime or not.
