Samsung's SGH-P900 will hit the European market in Q2

Samsung Korea announced the availability of the SGH-P900 T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Media Broadcasting) handset in Europe.

The new SGH-P900 comes just in time for the 2006 FIFA World Cup to deliver an unprecedented vivid mobile TV experience. The phone is based on Korean DMB technology which has been adapted to the European broadcast standards. To be able to receive TV signals, users can easily rotate the 2.2 inch TFT LCD display to a horizontal position for optimal viewing.

SGH-P900 has many multimedia features such as TV & radio capabilities, a 2 megapixel camera and a MP3 player. The screen has a high resolution QVGA (240x320 pixels) with 262,144 colors, providing very clear TV images. It also supports TV-output function, online browser, personal information manager and a wide series of office functions. Users can even record broadcasts for later viewing through its 128 MB internal memory.

In addition, the phone features Bluetooth and USB connectivity, EDGE and GPRS technology, PictBridge, Document Viewer, BT Printing, and microSD slot.

This model will be showed at the 3GSM World Congress held in Barcelona in February, and will hit European market in the 2nd Quarter of 2006.
