Ceragon Networks Ltd., a global provider of high-capacity broadband wireless systems signed an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Finnish mobile communications provider Nokia to enhance its cellular transmission networking solutions.

"Nokia's decision to strengthen its relationship with Ceragon reflects the rising demand for high-capacity radio solutions," said Ira Palti President and CEO, Ceragon Networks Ltd. "We are confident that our industry-proven SDH radios will add value to Nokia's portfolio and help deliver a complete solution to their customer base. This agreement with Nokia is a significant step towards globally promoting our state-of-the-art FibeAir family of products."

Under the agreement, Nokia will include Ceragon's high-capacity FibeAir product line, including its microwave radio portfolio, in Nokia's new product called PowerHopper Vario. "Ceragon has a market leading position in the cellular backhauling network business. This agreement will enhance our full system capabilities by broadening our high capacity product offering to our system customers," said Mr. Risto Valtonen, General Manager, Cellular Transmission, Nokia Networks.

The agreement comes after several years of integration of Ceragon's SDH radio products into Nokia's global transmission solutions.
