If you got used to see Samsung's new phones launching every week of this year, well then it's no surprise that the Korean company has just announced their brand new SPH-A580 mobile phone.

Nothing new about the design, same clamshell-like aspect that combines the good look with reliable features in a compact package. Nevertheless, the key aspect of the handset is the addition of Sprint's new wireless backup feature. The new feature enables users to restore their contacts quickly if the phone is ever lost, stolen, damaged or replaced.

Additional features of Samsung A580 include 65K-color internal screen (128 x 160 pixel resolution) and 4-level monochrome external LCD, WAP 2.0 compliant browser with CDMA2000 1xRTT, Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia service, and voice dialing function, which enables users to dial calls with their voice.

The wireless backup new service will cost an additional $2 per month and all information stored on the phone can be forwarded directly to a Sprint database and then the information can be accessed easily online and synced with a computer.

No word yet about its price or availability.
