On Wednesday, Ruttensoft has announced the launch of Ruttensoft's CloudFiles for Windows Mobile-based devices. The new software solution is basically an unofficial version of the famous file sync tool Dropbox, or, as the developer puts it, the missing Windows Mobile Frontend for the solution. CloudFiles comes with about the same functionality as the official iPhone and Android Apps from Dropbox, offering users the possibility to easily access all of their files and folders stored into the cloud.

Among the most important features of the new application, we can count the possibility to browse through Dropbox Files and Folders, support for actions like Create / Delete / Move / Copy Folders or Delete / Move / Copy Files, as well as the option to view properties of a file, including its name, size, the folder it is in, or the date when it has been last modified. The upload of a new file or of a new folder are also supported, along with the downloading of a file or folder, not to mention that users will be able to create new Text notes via a built-in text editor.

Other features of the software solution include: - Edit text-files within the application, it will directly be saved to your Dropbox account - Edit all other file types in your favorite Windows Mobile App, afterwards reupload it to your Dropbox account with one click! - Share your files by sending a link per Email - Share your files by sending the file as Email Attachment (Downloading it to the device first) - See your Dropbox Account informations (Username, ID, Space used/Free) - Autorotation of the app (if supported) - Shoot & Upload pictures with one click. It will be stored with continuous numbers (SomeName001, SomeName002) directly in your gallery! - Bit.ly support for short share links (using your own Bit.ly-Account) - Create a new Dropbox account.

According to the company, the CloudFiles for Windows Mobile is compatible with all touchscreen-enabled handsets powered by WM 6.0 or higher (it might work with WM 5.0 too), and comes with support for a range of screen resolutions like: 320x240, 240x320, 640x480, 480x640, 800x480, 480x800, 320x320, 240x400, 400x240, 480x320, 320x480. The new application is available for purchase for $6.99, but the company offers it with 20% savings until May 25 (for only $5.49).

Those who would like to learn more on the app should take a look at the video below for that. The software solution can be downloaded as a free 7-day trial from Softpedia too, via this link.
