It looks like Canadians will have a hot summer this year with lots of high-end devices soon to be launched, including Android tablets and smartphones.

The latest hearsay point to the possible July release of the new HTC Android flagship, the HTC Sensation.

According to the guys over at MobileSyrup, Canadian carrier Bell plans to pick the handset and could announce it as early as next month.

Even though rumors have yet to be confirmed, there's no doubt that the phone will make its debut in Canada, the only questions that arise are 'when' and 'where'.

If the information proves to be valid, HTC Sensation adds to an already long lineup of exciting devices that are expected to hit shelves this summer in Canada, including Samsung Galaxy S II and Infuse 4G, LG Optimus Black and Optimus 2X, as well as Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, HP TouchPad and HTC Flyer tablets.

As a reminder, the Sensation comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, along with the new and improved HTC Sense 3.0 UI.

Equipped with a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon application processor, which is complemented by the next-generation Adreno 220 graphical processing unit, the Sensation is truly one of the most powerful Android devices available on the market.

Furthermore, the phone comes with a large 4.3-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

In addition, it packs 1 GB of internal memory, 768 MB RAM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB included), as well as full HSDPA support.

It also boasts an 8-megapixel main camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash, image stabilization, face detection, instant capture, as well as secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

The phone is powered by a high-capacity 1520 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide users up to 350 hours (400 hours for 3G) of standby time or up to 8 hours (7 hours for 3G) of talk time.

Stay tuned for more updates on the subject.
