A little bit about the trio and a little bit about the game inside

EA has just revealed today that Ronaldinho, Peter Crouch and Gennaro Gattuso are the new cover athletes for FIFA Street 3, launching for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and DS next year, under the EA SPORTS BIG label. FIFA Street 3 will be somewhat different from other games in the series, adding a touch of humor to the gameplay experience.

Since every football fan knows pretty much everything there is to know about Ronaldinho's background and career, Gennaro Gattuso, the second featured athlete on the cover of FIFA Street 3 is the creative midfielder, who plays for A.C. Milan, with whom he won the UEFA Champions League title in the 2002-03 and 2006-07 seasons, and continues the tradition of world-class athletes donning the FIFA franchise covers.

As for Peter Crouch, he is Liverpool?s (and England's) top striker (top goal scorer in the 2006-07 season), who has also been a consistent goal scorer for the England national team. EA confirms that Crouch will have his 6?7?? height amplified to compliment his ball-striking and finishing skills and help to create a new soccer experience.

"FIFA Street 3 is about turning football icons into eye-popping characters through the game?s stylized art direction for an over-the-top arcade soccer experience," said producer Joe Nickolls. "Ronaldinho, Crouch and Gattuso represent three of the different types of players available in our game and we were able to exaggerate their qualities to really create larger-than-life characters."

Here's a little bit about the game itself:

- it features over 250 of the world?s best players representing 18 of the top international teams

- each player has been rendered into a stylized caricature, boasting their own, distinctive style of play with unique abilities, decked out in authentic training kits.

- you'll have Tricksters, Enforcers, Playmakers and Finishers to choose from and handle different options with them

- pulsating surroundings - music is seamlessly infused into the surroundings and, as players perform their tricks and sensational moves, the environments pulsate (it probably looks and feels a lot like Def Jam Icon)

FIFA Street 3 launches in mid February for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and DS under the EA SPORTS BIG brand, in North America and Europe. The game has been rated E for Everyone by the ESRB and 3+ by PEGI.
