The competition in the music game genre is a very tough one, with the two major titles, Guitar Hero and Rock Band, having a big market share. There are other games, like Wii Music, that try to make it on the market, but the loyal fans of the aforementioned two can't be constrained to abandon their favorite titles that easily.

Rock Band and Guitar Hero have a pretty big rivalry between them, especially concerning their policies regarding the DLC (Downloadable Content) packs, which have very different release schedules. While the former came up with a few tracks every week, the latter chose to launch a completely new track pack, or a special edition of the game for a single band, like Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.

But every once in a while, MTV, the publisher of the Rock Band title, releases a track pack disc containing some very popular songs for the players of this game. And the same will happen this month, as MTV announced that it would release the second volume of its Rock Band track pack. Scheduled for November 17, the disc will contain 20 interesting tracks and will be coming to all of the consoles out there.

The pack will be priced at 30 dollars and is sure to attract quite a lot of customers. Also, if you want to download the tracks from the disc onto the hard disk unit of your console, so as not to introduce the disc every time you want to play a track from it, you have that option. The tracklist contains quite a lot of interesting titles, like Red Hot Chili Peppers' Snow, or Motley Crue's Saints of Los Angeles. Here's the full list, as found on Kotaku:

“Afterlife” — Avenged Sevenfold “Call Me” — Blondie “El Scorcho” — Weezer “Girl U Want” — Devo “Girls Who Play Guitars” — Maximo Park “Indestructible” — Disturbed “It Hurts” — Angels & Airwaves “Just What I Needed” — The Cars “Message in a Bottle” — The Police “Monkey Gone to Heaven” — Pixies “Rio” — Duran Duran “Saints of Los Angeles” — Motley Crue “Simple Man” — Lynyrd Skynyrd “Snow (Hey Oh)” — Red Hot Chili Peppers “The Perfect Drug” — Nine Inch Nails “This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race” — Fall Out Boy “Time Is Running Out” — Papa Roach “Why Do You Love Me” — Garbage “You've Got Another Thing Comin'” — Judas Priest “Zero” — Smashing Pumpkins
