Nippon camera and optics manufacturer Ricoh has just announced the products that will be exhibited at next week's CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show in Yokohama, Japan.
Contrary to previous rumors, Ricoh will not announce a new DSLR model but, instead, it will present a new Pentax 645D medium format digital SLR camera.
According to the manufacturer, the upcoming 645D model will feature the latest, super-high-resolution CMOS sensor, most probably the same 50MP image sensor made by Sony and used by the recently revealed Phase One IQ250 and Hasselblad H5D-50c. Moreover, the new Pentax 645D comes with a tilting LCD display and it's expected to launch in spring.
In addition to the new medium format model, Ricoh will also introduce a new ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for the 645 mount that comes with newly designed optics.
Q-mount digital cameras will also receive a new interchangeable telephoto macro lens that, according to the photo provided by Ricoh, will have a front filter thread size of 40.5mm.
Besides this, the company will present a film duplication accessory that can be used along with a DSLR camera and flash unit to duplicate silver-halide-film images. The Pentax Film Duplicator is compatible with all 35mm and medium-format films.
Unfortunately, Ricoh is yet to announce availability for the 645D-mount, Q-mount lenses, or for the Pentax Film Duplicator.
