Following the success publisher Merscom had with titles like Blood Ties, Ghost in the Sheet, East Side Story and My Farm, a new title joins the top ten-ranked title on major casual game sites. The one we're talking about is the point and click adventure developed by MDNA Games, Remedy, a game released over the weekend that has already risen to number seven on the gaming portal it was released on.

Remedy is the first game in an adventure series featuring Carol Reed, a young English woman who seems to get into all sorts of trouble and mysteries. In this first episode, Carol travels to Sweden for a well-deserved vacation, only to find out that one of her friends, a detective, has passed away. Through a letter, she finds out that the detective was working on a very complex case at the time of his death - and that is the moment that marks the beginning of your adventure. Eager to help her friend solve his final case, Carol finds herself wrapped up in a mystery without really knowing where to begin, in a country full of strangers... But, in the end, you will succeed, you have to!

"Our successes earlier this year show that casual gamers want something beyond the typical clone," explained Lloyd Melnick, Chief Customer Officer at Merscom. "Remedy is a beautiful game that really engages the player and provides a fantastic experience."

The game features some really nice graphics - all the screens seem to be hand painted - and it offers a full click and playing experience. You'll get to see a wide variety of luminous environments and unusual characters, items and an engaging ambient music. Also, if the puzzles get a bit too difficult for you, there is a bypass feature implemented, which means that the game will be a definite win for you.

Merscom will also publish Remedy at retail in Germany in Russia, even though it will still be available for purchase on gaming portals.
