The adventure games publisher, The Adventure Company, the same people that brought us some absolutely great games in the past year (their most recent success being the revolutionary title, The Experiment) have announced that they started shipping Cleopatra: Riddle of the Tomb in North America, exclusively for PC systems.

The game was developed by Kheops Studio, a company that is not a stranger for adventure game fans, since it's the same that developed great titles for the hardcore players, such as Secret of the Lost Cavern, The Secrets of Da Vinci or, more recently Nostradamus - the Last Prophecy. Cleopatra: Riddle of the Tomb is, obviously, based on the Egyptian culture (the developers promise that they have made historical researches in order to bring a real Egyptian experience) and authentic monuments like the Lighthouse, the Library of Alexandria and the city itself have been incorporated into the game.

The storyline follows the adventure of Thomas, an apprentice of Cleopatra's astrologist and astronomer who falls in love with his Master's daughter. Since the country is divided and ravaged by a civil war, nobody is safe - and that is something Thomas is going to learn the hard way, when he finds out, one day, that both his lover and her father are missing. So, your adventure begins and you're going to visit the most important parts of the ancient Egypt and, as usual, to solve a conspiracy that runs deeper than you have first imagined.

Cleopatra: Riddle of the Tomb carries a suggested retail price of $19.99 and it is rated T for Teen. And if the storyline or the concept sound familiar to you, you are right. This is the game Europeans know as Cleopatra: A Queen's Destiny. So if you have some fellow Europeans to ask a few questions about the game, go ahead and do it. They will most likely confirm that it's a great adventure game that will put your brain on fire.
