New adventures for the dynamic duo

Insomniac Games has had a pretty big teasing campaign in the last few weeks before the Game Developers Conference started. A lot of people hoped that they would announce something about the very successful Resistance franchise, but there were others who hoped that the casual-aimed Ratchet and Clank series would see a new title.

However, the studio made everyone happy, as it announced both a brand new DLC map pack and new features incoming for Resistance 2, as well as a brand new Ratchet and Clank game, entitled a Crack in Time. The famous duo of characters will now time travel and engage in more fun and wacky adventures.

It will be a direct follow-up to the Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty titles, with Ratchet left to find and save his trusty robot companion, Clank. As they will travel through time, more things about their origins but also about their future will be revealed, and thus a lot of questions submitted by the players to Insomniac will be answered.

Powered by the company's robust PlayStation 3 graphics engine, the game will certainly deliver a stunning experience in terms of visuals and in terms of the gameplay available to players. New enemies and puzzles will be unveiled alongside space battles where the two characters will be racing in ships. Also, the two characters will use new weapons and tools in order to complete the game.

All in all, it seems that Insomniac hasn't been busy only with Resistance and is still devoted to the Ratchet and Clank franchise. Hopefully, this game will confirm the expectations of fans and we will enjoy a new wacky adventure with the two characters. Look forward to it in the fall of this year, exclusively on the PS3.
