A few weeks ago, we showed you a bunch of renders featuring what appeared to be Ramos’ first smartphone to date. The OEM is pretty well known in China as a tablet vendor, but it has yet to dab into the seas of handset making.

Well, today, we bring you word of a teaser which the company itself posted on their Weibo account. What we see in the image is the back of a smartphone with the word MOS1 plastered on it. So that means Ramos plans to call its first smartphone the MOS1.

Therefore, it makes sense to assume that the company’s next-gen phone will be called the MOS2.

It also appears that the first Ramos phone will feature a dual-sided 2.5D glass panel similar to what we have seen on the Vivo X5 Pro.

The teaser image is actually a render, but it’s a pretty fair indication of what Ramos will end up revealing when the time comes. The phone features curved corners, a front-facing camera, a light sensor and an earpiece colored in the company’s signature blue.

We’re not given any additional details about the specifications of the upcoming MOS1, so at the moment, we have to rely on the information provided by previous rumors.

Word on the street has claimed that the phone is built around a 4,850 mAh battery and will probably run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, with Ramos’ own custom skin plastered on top.

When it comes to its internal specifications, we know nothing for now, but if Ramos plans to impress customers, it should offer a phone taking advantage of a QHD display, at least a Snapdragon 808 chipset, and 3GB of RAM.

Since we mentioned the Vivo X5 Pro, which employs 2.5D glass technology, we could speculate that its insides are similar to what Ramos will offer.

The phone bundles a FHD display, Snapdragon 615 and 2GB of RAM, which are actually mid-range specs, but the device has a few perks. For example, it dons a retina scanner and its frontal camera can shoot images at 32MP (by employing interpolation).

So Ramos might opt between offering top-notch specs or settling for average ones and adding a few perks here and there.
