Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion is getting ready to bring to the market a new smartphone in the popular Storm series, supposedly dubbed BlackBerry Storm 3, which has been rumored for quite some time now, and which has just got a purported specs list.

There have been a lot of rumors around on the upcoming BackBerrry Storm 3 smartphone, some contradicting others, but the general consensus is that the device should make an appearance on the market in the near future.

As for the aforementioned specifications list, the guys over at BBLeaks say that it might not show exactly some of the internal components of the device, such as the camera or the available internal memory.

However, as a whole, the specs list below is supposedly the most accurate one possible at the moment when it comes to BlackBerry Storm 3, especially since nothing was unveiled officially on this device.

Here's what the BlackBerry Storm 3 should arrive on shelves with, according to BBLeaks:

Camera: 5MP, 2592×1944 pixels or 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, fixed focus, dual-LED flash Memory: 8 or 16 GB storage w/ optional expandable to 32GB, 512 MB or 1GB RAM, 1 GB ROM Display: 3.7-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors GPRS: Class 32 Optical trackpad Ringtones: MP3, WAV ringtones MP3: MP3/WAV/eAAC+/WMA player, MP4/H.264/H.263/WMV player Bluetooth: Yes, v3.0 with A2DP 3G: HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2 Mbps Addons: Wi-Fi, USB, GPS, OS, Video Weight: Standard battery, Li-Ion 1200 mAh (BL-4D) Talktime: Up to 432 h (2G) / Up to 480 h (3G) Standby: Up to 9 h (2G) / Up to 5 h (3G)

According to the news site, the BlackBerry Storm 3 is not to be mistaken with the rumored Storm 9570, or Storm 2.5, which was expected to arrive merely as a Storm 2 refresh.

The above specs list was put up from various sources, but BBLeaks says that the image attached to this article is, in fact, the long expected Storm 3.

What is still unknown at the moment is when the BlackBerry smartphone is set to land on shelves, though the expected release date is early 2011.

However, we should also note that some rumors suggested that RIM might consider packing the Storm 3 device with the QNX software, which, if true, would lead to delays.
