But users will also be able to filter their Friends lists, so nobody's feelings get hurt

Sony's social service, PlayStation Home, which has a beta testing lined up, will allow users to upload whatever content they desire. What would that, undoubtedly imply? Naturally, it would imply porn. Lots of it. The thing is Sony gets off easy with allowing users to do whatever they want, as subscribers will be able to kick out "Friends" they don't like anymore, if something they view or hear offends them. So, what using the service implies is that you can download anything your heart desires, be it Japanese school girls fooling around in the gym, or Renaissance art, as you will be the only one deciding whether you have friends passionate of the same topics as you are.

If anyone hurts your feelings or your eyes with pictures or videos that you may find inappropriate to view, you can simply ban them from your Friends List. It's as simple as that. A Sony spokesman commented: "I think Home should be used for a much wider and more beneficial scope than that, but I think that people can express their creativity inside Home in a wide variety of ways and it's not necessarily for us to dictate what that should be. However, if somebody feels uncomfortable about an encounter on Home, it's very easy for them to ban that person from their friends list..."

So it's all clear to everyone that Sony's new social service will be the delight of everyone. Filtering and managing Friends Lists will be very much possible, as Sony's spokesman implied and nobody's feelings will be hurt, hopefully. And isn't it convenient for them...?
