The game has been launched just before the MLB All-Star Game coming on July 13, and it's been developed in association with MLBPA (Major League Baseball Players Association). Also known for its best selling mobile game Homerun Battle 3D, Com2us returns with a full featured baseball game.
9 Innings: Pro Baseball 2011 features a huge database which contains all the 2010 American League All-Stars, National League All-Stars, coaches, managers, and around 800 Major Leaguers from all 30 Major League teams with actual photo profiles. Further, gamers will be happy to find that all of the Major Leaguers will be updated with their latest stats.
The game seems to be very realistic, as the gameplay is very close to the actual baseball game. Thus, gamers will be able to pick a team to play a full 162-game season, and if they manage they can even make it through the postseason playoffs to the World Series. All these are available if League Mode is chosen.
Also, the game's players come with a variety of pitch styles. Gamers should know which players to steal with and when to advance runners, as these decisions will play a huge part in their team's success. Another enjoying part of the game regards the customization of teams and in player's attempt to turn their teams into a championship squad. Com2uS has a special system for this part, which is called the Card Shop.
At the Card Shop, gamers can obtain better players by drawing cards or combining their old ones. Baseball cards come in Normal, Rare, Special, Hero, and Platinum grades, and can be leveled up with points gamers win in any of the three game modes (League, Homerun, Exhibition).
