Brings sports coverage to Sprint customers

Wireless carrier Sprint announced on Friday that Sprint customers could enjoy an enhanced sports experience, as the company had teamed with ESPN for the delivery of ESPN Mobile TV on Sprint TV. According to the operator, Sprint customers can already enjoy unparalleled live sports programming and entertainment via Sprint handheld devices, all available straight from ESPN Mobile TV.

During March and April, Sprint customers will enjoy ESPN Mobile TV coverage that will include over 100 live events. Moreover, the ESPN Mobile TV also comes with more than 250 hours of coverage for Sprint customers with the new agreement, all in time for the beginning of the Big 12 and Big East Conference Championship basketball games.

Those interested in the programming and live events should count in: - 23 Live Men's NCAA Basketball Games (including Conference Championship games); - 19 Live Women's NCAA Basketball Championship Games; - 9 NBA Playoff Games; - 15 Regular Season NBA Games; - 30 Live NBA Fastbreak Shows; - 10 Regular Season MLB Games; - 50 Live Baseball Tonight Studio Shows; - 3 College Football Spring games; - 3 Live Friday Night Fights; - 3 Live NCAA Hockey Championship Games; - 5 Live MLS Matches.

In addition, Sprint also notes that users will enjoy on their devices a number of more than 800 live events this year, and that among them will be the 2010 FIFA World Cup, MLB, NBA, Grand Slam tennis, college football and basketball. Handsets that will offer the support for the service include HTC Hero, Samsung Moment, Samsung Instinct, Palm Pre and Blackberry Curve, the wireless carrier also notes.
