80Plus Platinum power supplies seem to be getting more numerous lately, with Enermax now making its contribution to the collection, though it might be more accurate to say it is extending the availability of an already existing product series.

Enermax just revealed that the 80Plus Platinum-rated series of Platimax power supplies is, or will soon be, available in Europe.

What this means is that some models are available already, while others will show up by next month (November, 2011).

The collection is the same one that was launched about a month ago in the US (go here for the details and the US pricing).

Seven models exist, with outputs of 500W to 1,500W and prices of €184.90 (£159.90 in the UK) to €389.90 (£334.90).

80Plus Platinum is the highest rank on the 80Plus scale of measurement for energy efficiency.

The Platimax power supply units feature 4 or six 12V rails, the SafeGuard multiple protection circuitry, HeatGuard (keeps the 13.9cm Twister-bearing fan running for a minute after PC shutdown) and the CordGuard AC power cord clip.

The efficiency is of up to 94%, while 105°C Japanese electrolytic capacitors, a Copper-Bridge transmission array and an extreme density transformer ensure stability and long life.

Enermax has already set up the product page for the Platimax series, which can be viewed here.

Only the 750W, 850W and 1,200W PSUs are available now, priced at €214.90 (£184.90), €259.90 (£224.90) and €344.90 (£299.90), respectively.

The others will show up next month (November, 2011), for the prices of €184.90 / £159.90 (500W), €199.90 / £169.90 (600W), €299.90 / £254.90 (1,000W) and €389.90 / £334.90 1,500W.
