Although everybody acknowledges the fact that in-ear phones offer far better noise isolation and bass response compared to other earphones designs, open-ear models still hold some advantages when it comes down to frequency response and range, so Phiaton set about to merge these two different approaches in their “half in-ear” Primal Series PS 20 earphones.

Designed to be used with a wide range of devices, including iPhones, iPods, laptops, PMPs, CD or DVD players, these headphones feature a Phiaton’s new “MaxBass Reflex” technology that makes use of dual sound chambers to eliminate unwanted vibration and echo as well as to smooth out the bass.

Further increasing the sound quality, the PS 20 earphones also come with Phiaton's own dynamic speaker driver that uses a acoustic transducer technology in order to equalize bass and treble for enhanced sound quality no matter what your preferred music genre is.

But the most important design novelty the PS 20 earphones bring to the table is their “half in-ear” that promises to allow for comfortable listening while also offering great bass response and crystal clear high frequency response (15Hz to 22KHz).

Other features include an easy-to-use cord adjuster as well as a compact remote control ideal for on-the-go users.

“We designed our half in-ear headphones to provide an ideal solution for music fans who want great-sounding on-the-go music but do not necessarily enjoy the feel of conventional earbuds, which must be inserted deep into the ear canal.

The new PS 20 half in-ear earphones offer unprecedented comfort and a snug fit for every user,” noted James Baik, Phiaton's President.

Phiaton's Primal Series PS 20 earphones are available right now for purchase for a $99 recommended retail price, the PS 20 coming with four separate sizes of soft silicon tips and and leather case for easy portability. (via Audioholics)
