Following the officially announced availability of Samsung Fascinate and Motorola Droid X, a leaked picture presents a couple of new, yet unannounced handsets coming on Verizon Wireless: Pantech Jest and Samsung Haven u320. According to Boy Genius Report, the first device Pantech Jest, seems to be a follow-up for last year’s Razzle, a collaboration between Samsung and Pantech. Both are mid-ranged devices and will probably sell for attractive prices.

Pantech Jest has a slider form factor and features a full QWERTY keyboard, which makes it more functional for those that will probably use its integrated social networking services.

The handset comes with 1xRTT connectivity, dedicated music keys, pre-loaded applications (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and Social Beat), Task Bar key for multi-tasking and Stereo Bluetooth support for listening to music. It also features a 2-megapixel camera, a microSD slot card for memory expansion up to 16GB, as well as built-in GPS receiver and a 2.5mm audio jack port.

Verizon has designated the target of this handset as follows: “Primary: social communicators, young adults, singles/couples; Secondary: families with teens/tweens, household oganizers.” Pantech Jest should be available on the market at the beginning of July at a price that will probably be disclosed in the official announcement.

Samsung Haven is a standard clamshell and seems to be the right successor of the Samsung Knack. Its main highlights include: 1xRTT connectivity, 2.5mm jack headset, 2.2-inch display (176x220 pixel resolution) supporting 65k colors.

The downsides of the gadget are the fact that it lacks a camera and the inability to send picture messages (you can only receive). Samsung Haven appears to be a low-budget device targeting “Mature Adults, Familier, Singles/Couples.” The clamshell should be available on the market next month at a price that will be known later on.
