On a 2-year contract

Wireless carrier AT&T has recently added a new mobile phone to its offering, namely the Pantech Breeze II. This is an entry level device, and the price tag for which AT&T sells it at the moment shows exactly that. The Pantech Breeze II can be acquired from the wireless operator for only $19.99 upon the signing of a 2-year contract agreement, or for $169.99 when purchased free of contract.

The Pantech Breeze II comes to the market in a flip form factor, measuring 4.0 x 2.0 x 0.7 inches and weighing in at 3.5 ounces. GSM/GPRS (850/900/1800/900 MHz) and 3G (850/1900 MHz) connectivity options with support for EDGE high speed data network are packed inside the phone, offering users a pretty decent web browsing experience.

The specifications list of the new device also includes a 1.3-megapixel photo snapper with 4x zoom and video recording capabilities, Bluetooth connectivity options, hands-free speakerphone, a 2.2-inch display that boasts a 320 x 240 pixel resolution, voice dialing and voice commands, and Firmware Over the Air capabilities, as well as support for video sharing, Mobile Email and Text Messaging, with predictive text for fast typing.

The internal memory of Pantech Breeze II rises up to 80 MB, and is complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space. The handset is powered by a 920 mAH battery that can deliver up to 3 hours of talk time, or up to 10 days of standby time. According to the wireless carrier, the new mobile phone offers users the possibility to easily “send live or recorded video during a phone call whether it's a shopping tips or road trips.” Moreover, the handset comes with support for a series of apps and services from the company, including AT&T Maps, Ypmobile, AT&T Social Net, Instant Messaging, AT&T FamilyMap, Loopt, WHERE, AllSport GPS, AT&T Music, Mobile Video, and Mobile Banking.
