It looks like Palm has stated in a post on Twitter that the handset will not include visual voicemail capabilities, as an answer to kirkyuhnke's questions regarding the visual voicemail on the Pre. Although the feature was expected not to lack from the phone, here is what Palm seems to have answered: “Palm Synergy presents integrated messaging in lots of useful ways, but not that particular way.”
According to some voices over the web, this might also suggest that Palm is trying to keep silent on some of the capabilities of the webOS, though there are also great chances that a future application will come to address this feature, in case it lacks in the beginning. The best thing that we can do for the moment is wait for the Palm Pre to become available on the market to see how things really are.
In the meantime, you might want to know that the mobile phone will come to the market at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Radio Shack and Fry's Electronics, as well as in Sprint's stores, which means that it will be available for purchase at four major retailers in the country.
