Along with “Meet the Palm Pre” banner

It seems that Best Buy's internal inventory system is showing up some nice accessories for the highly expected Palm Pre, among which we can count the Touchstone charging kit, which should sport a price tag of $69.99, as already rumored on the web. For what it's worth, these would be the first accessories for the high-end phone that have now entered the system.

In addition, these Pre accessories are reported to have recently dropped in Best Buy’s internal systems, and they should be in stock starting with May 10. Among them there should be 5 cases for the phone – one made of leather, 3 acrylic ones and one labeled ‘Palm Pre Case.’

At the same time, Best Buy is also showing on its site a banner that says Meet the Palm Pre, while also displaying both the Sprint and the Palm logos. One thing’s for sure at the moment, namely that Best Buy will indeed have the Pre available for purchase, as reported before, given the fact that it doesn't usually allow for third-party advertising on its site.

On the other hand, no specific details on the exact launch date of the phone have been unveiled, so we might consider the rumored June 7 date as a good one, especially since Best Buy was also reported to start some sort of trial launch for the phone on that day. According to the latest news on the matter, Sprint might have chosen the retailer as the exclusive partner for the new smartphone.

No exact details on the price tag Palm Pre will feature are available either, though it is expected to retail at around $199.99 with a two-year contract, just the way the Apple iPhone does. While most release dates and news on the Pre remain rumors for the time being, we should say that all that is going on with Sprint and Best Buy might suggest a not-too-far-in-the-future launch, so keep an eye on this space.
