Typical PSP Fantastic RPG title that will surely top Japanese game charts

PSP fans, who thought that something like an EB ad encouraging people to trade them in for a DS Lite would mark the end of Sony's handheld, can breath easily because Monster Hunter Portable 2nd is the title to put the PSP back in business. Famitsu is reported that demand for Capcom's PSP RPG Monster Hunter Portable 2nd was tremendous: somewhat 140 people were in line outside the West Shinjuku branch of Yodobashi Camera before the store opened and more than 200 people waited in front of the Ikebukuro branch of Bic Camera to get their own copy of the game. This proves that the game has a very good chance of tipping every Japanese game chart.

The game is what its title says: hunting monsters. Well...not just hunting monsters, it's packed full with cool ancient weapons like long spears, bows and arrows, and other more fantastic weapons which the player can use to pierce through a winged monster's throat, or to knock a six legged 100 tone giant spider out of commission. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd screams PSP title and I don't mean it in a bad way.

The player has the most fantastic and beautiful environments in the palm of his hand, tailored perfectly for the handheld's performance, but the audio isn't of the same quality, not as much concerning the effects as the music. I don't know, it's just too fairy-tale-ish for my taste, then again, that's why I don't normally play this kind of games. No offense to those still standing in front of the store, still waiting for your copy of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd.
