No characters in them though, just the mystical temples and locations on the island

To your left you have the first background screenshots of the PC game 'So Blonde.' Visuals are at their peak as you can see. The developer has released them to show some of the first backgrounds of some first in-game locations. However, there are no characters in them.

The background drawings have been specifically worked on in detail to guarantee Bermuda-like and pirate atmosphere. Tropical beaches, simple thatched huts, but also mystical, dark voodoo temples, in which the natives worship a god who's apparently not that pacific, are seen on the island, which is Sunny Blonde's new home for now.

However, for a game that's been announced quite a while ago, I have to say that progress is rather slow. Anyway, some updates on the story seem to be available also. Back when it was first announced, all we knew was that Sunny Blonde was attending her parents' wedding anniversary when all of the sudden she was stranded on a beautiful island.

Now we know that it's her task to master lunatic adventures. For example: she has to "save" her MP3 player from the depths of the scary voodoo temple. Seems easy, but the natives regard it as a holy gift from the gods?

An involuntary stay on a completely unfamiliar island, with no way of knowing how she will ever leave it, is one thing. More severe for Sunny is that all of a sudden she will have to make do without all her luxurious accessories. But there's more: through some freak of time and space, she seems to have been transported several centuries back and landed in the middle of an age ruled by pirates and buccaneers.

So Blonde is being developed by French team Wizarbox, published by dtp Entertainment and is going to be released worldwide under the ANACONDA label. It launches in November this year, for German-speaking territories.
