Two new special application phone models from Orsus Xelent will soon hit the Asian market. Proxlink X688 (Taishan) and Proxlink X388 (Huashan) will be delivered through China Unicom, one of the largest distributors in the country.

The company's confidence in the future success of these two new mobile phones comes as a result of the high sales rates that a previous model has registered. Proxlink X180 has managed to introduce the brand's name on the market.

Proxlink X688 gives its user the possibility of using two SIM cards at the same time, without having to switch in between. The phone packs a 2 megapixel camera, GPS and MP3 player. It runs on Windows Mobile 6 and is also capable of editing Office documents at high standards.

Proxlink X388 is a CDMA phone, mainly an upgrade for the older X180 model. It packs a 2.8 inch touchscreen display and 400 MHz of processing power. One thing which many people will get thrilled over is the fact that the device works on Linux.

"Our ability to deliver two new special application models will allow China Unicom additional alternatives in its centralized procurement of mobile terminals and further enhances our cooperation with them", said Xavier Wang, President and CEO of Orsus Xelent. Moreover, their expectations from these two new handsets are quite high. "With current expectations of approximately 20,000 orders for our new Proxlink X388 starting in September and 20,000 units of the Proxlink X688 beginning in November, we are positioned for the sale of an estimated 90,000 units in the current year", Xavier Wang further declared.

Orsus Xelent is the producer for some of the most evolved mobile phones on the Asian market nowadays. The company has also managed to close two strategic cooperation agreements with Shanghai Yuede Computer Networking Engineering and with Beijing Enxiang Networking Engineering Company. This is meant to help the company better enter the mobile phone market and win some notoriety for their brand.
