And that's about all it has to offer

Another mobile phone which makes the best out of touchscreen performances has been unveiled at SINOCLES 2007 in China. Daxian C8100 comes with several evolved features, although it still looks just like a replica of more evolved devices from well known handset manufacturers.

Daxian C8100 relies on its 2.4 inch touchscreen for all the interaction with its user. The fact that it has no keypad makes it somewhat difficult to use for people who have grown fond of regular mobile phones. Still, for those who feel perfectly comfortable with using a stylus for navigation and writing text on their smartphone, it could even turn out to be an advantage.

In order to compensate, a virtual keyboard will appear on the screen for the user to master with the help of a stylus. Because of this, the phone looks lighter, although it fails in breaking any records when it comes to both sizes and performances.

The handset comes equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, way under the performances that you would expect from a high-end device. It also has a music and video player, but this does not make it a multimedia mobile phone. Moreover, the T-Flash card will provide enough space for storing a large number of data on Daxian C8100.

The handset aims at the mobile phone users who can afford more evolved technology. Still, its performances are rather low when compared to similar high-end devices. After all, its touchscreen is the only one which has chances of making it stand out, although it's not that original after all.

Daxian C8100 will be available in the near future on the telecom market in China. No specifications have been made on the date when this will happen or on the price that it will be available for.
