Mobile phones are such strong fashion statement products that it was next to impossible for renowned designers to see the opportunity lying here. The Samsung-Armani phone is a sure thing to come, as it has just been unveiled by its two developers.

The location of the announcement was one suitable for its classy style. The two companies presented their concept at the Milan Fashion week. The Armani-Samsung mobile phone will make its way from now on through the thickline of devices that have received the signature of a famous fashion designer, such as Prada, Ted Baker, Mandarina Duck and Levi.

Previous rumors saw the Samsung SGH-P520 handset as the one with the highest chances of proving to be the Armani phone. Still, the few specifications that the designer has unveiled at the Milan Fashion week seem to match only partially with those of this other device.

The greatest difference is obvious right from the start and regards the phones' sizes. The two companies stated that their new handset should be the size of a credit card and will have 10.5 mm in thickness. That's more than what Samsung SGH-P520 comes at, making it clear that a newly designed handset will be unveiled.

That's excellent news, as the already known model is almost identical to LG's Prada phone. It would have been a shame and somewhat unusual to see that the two designers have nothing different to say in matters of mobile phone designing, The handset will also pack a 2.6 inch screen and a 3 megapixel camera.

The Giorgio Armani Smasung mobile phone will be available in Europe starting this November. The price of the device will be of EUR 650 (about USD 920). The two companies are also working on a liquid crystal display (LCD) television that they will unveil at the beginning of year 2008.
