Sony Ericsson has finally decided to present the Sony Ericsson W880i, a slim walkman phone, measuring only 9.4 mm. Despite Sony Ericsson's announcing this phone, there's little information available and the photos aren't very revealing either, the only thing that one can confirm being the camera for video calling, therefore 3G capabilities.

In fact, the previously leaked photos of this phone have been far more revealing. But since there is no significant difference between the phone in these official photos and the phone in the photos presented before, we can only hope that the features will prove to be the same as well.

The brushed metal casing will also be included, which might mean that the phone is also durable. Looking on the bright side of things, this is the first time that Sony Ericsson has provided any information at all about this phone. According to Sony Ericsson, more information regarding the W880i - so far also known as the Ai - will be available after the phone's launch, which is to occur during the first half of 2007. Which basically means that the only official information released so far regarding this phone is that it will come with all of the music-center features Sony Ericsson Walkman phones usually bring.

Other than that, we can only presume that the phone will include at least a 2 megapixel camera and, since it is a Walkman phone, it will surely come equipped with a memory card slot that will allow extra MP3 storage.

According to Sony Ericsson, "this latest Walkman phone is the next milestone in the development of the Walkman phone story", and we'll just have to wait in order to find out more.
