Lately also known as the W880

This is the third photo, and probably most likely to be a 'leaked' photo of Sony Ericsson's AI mobile phone so far. Reportedly the Ai will be one of Sony Ericsson's walkman phones and will go under the name of W880.

The design is in many ways similar to other Sony Ericsson phones, but in my opinion very disappointing, looking far from nice, or easy to use for that matter. The Ai, now also known as the W880, is expected to be 9.4 mm thin (this being the only piece of information that hasn't changed along with the different photos) and very similar, as features, to the W850 and W810 walkman phones.

Although the specifications of the W880 are currently unknown, we can deduce a couple of things from the photo, like the presence of a 3G video conference camera. I also think it would be pretty safe to assume that the phone will feature at least a 2.0 megapixel camera (I can't think of any Sony Ericsson 3G phones released lately that have included a camera with a lower resolution than 2 megapixels or why they would even consider packing it with lower-end features when the design is not brilliant).

As you must have noticed, there is no similarity between the three Ai photos provided so far, but the phone in this newer photo is very likely to be the real thing. The first time we heard about the Ai, Sony Ericsson was reportedly planning to launch a candy bar shaped mobile phone, only 9.4 mm thick and expected to come in two color versions, black and silver.

Which is a pretty good description of what we see in the photo presented here. Sleek brushed metal casing and all, the Ai W880 doesn't look as nice as some would have expected it to. In fact, in my opinion, it doesn't look nice at all. I'm even considering praising Motorola for designing mobile phones like the RAZR, even if not as thin as the Ai, that are actually nice to look at and appeal to most people out there.

More information on this phone should be out soon, and hopefully an official announcement, pictures or release date as well.
