Are they for real or is this someone's idea of a joke?

Not so long ago there were rumors about a new Sony-Ericsson phone to come on the market, a very slim phone, only 9.4 mm thick, preliminarily called "AI" after Japanese tennis player Ai Sugiyama, and considered to be RAZR's competitor.

Some rather blurry pictures of what supposedly is the prototype of the device have been taken and are starting to circulate on the net. Sony-Ericsson's 9.4 mm slim phone, the "Ai" is rumored to be 3G UMTS compatible. It is also said that "Ai" comes with a casing constructed from rubberized plastic, with stainless steel or aluminum keys, jog-wheel navigation and a 2.0 megapixel camera. There is really no way of telling if these pictures are of an actual prototype of the "Ai" or just someone's way to show their 'creativity' or joke around. Since the "Ai" should be released in the first quarter of the next year, we'll have to show some patience and wait until then to see if this is what this ultra-slim handheld is actually going to look like.
