Another E-Series phone has been approved by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), the full-QWERTY keyboard business phone Nokia E61.

Nokia E61 operates in GSM850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA2100 networks, and includes the same advanced business call features and IP-based telephony functions as the Nokia E60 and Nokia E70.

The Nokia E61 is designed in the familiar style of today's most popular business mobile devices. Its design is slim, and yet full of powerful functionality.

The LCD display is bright with a 320 x 240 pixel resolution, and capable of 16 million colors, which combined with the four-way joystick and the full QWERTY keyboard makes the mobile e-mail a lot more easier. The handset supports multiple mobile e-mail clients like BlackBerry Connect, GoodLink, Nokia Business Center, Seven Mobile Mail, Seven Always-On Mail, and Visto Mobile, providing an encrypted mobile connectivity. It features full attachment reader (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDF viewer and ZIP manager) and an editing function (document, spreadsheet and presentation). The new mobile phone lets users send and receive e-mails even while they're talking on the phone.

The Nokia E61 should be on its way to the US and other markets soon, at an estimated price of $500 USD.
