The handset offers a lot of music-oriented features

A new handset from Nokia has been approved by the FCC. The Nokia 3250 model is a music-phone, with a keypad that can be twisted 180 degrees, switching between the usual phone controls and the music control keys. With Nokia Audio Manager software, users can convert CD tracks into digital music files and manage their music collection and playlists directly from the computer through USB 2.0, and transfer them further to other mobiles using Bluetooth technology. Enhanced music features such as equalizer, stereo widening, reverb, bass boost can be enjoyed using headphones instead of the standard earphones. The mobile supports many audio formats : eAAC+, AAC+, M4A, MPEG-4 ACC LC, LTP, MP3, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, 64 polyphonic MIDI, RealAudio Voice, RealAudio7, RealAudio8, RealAudio10, WMA, which can be stored in the 10 MB memory, expandable to 1 GB via microSD cards.

Worthy of mentioning is the 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, activated with a twist of the keypad, which can capture photos as well as video. The handset has a 34.8 x 41.1mm TFT display with resolutions of 176 x 208 pixels in 262k colors, runs on Symbian OS platform and operates in GSM/EDGE 900/1800/1900.

The handset will be released in Europe in the first quarter of 2006 for a retail price of 350 EUR.
