Nokia has just released the Nokia 500 Auto Navigation that takes care of all the needs that a mobile phone user might have while driving. This is the first handsfree dedicated personal navigation device for convenient in-car navigation and communication that this handset producer brings out on the market.

The Nokia 500 Auto Navigation has integrated GPS and also can act as a Bluetooth handsfree system. The fact that it has a 4.3 inch display screen makes it excellent for finding the current position on the map and also establishing a route. Moreover, the user can also browse its contacts, as well as make and receive calls. One advantage coming from this handsfree speaker system with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) is that it provides high audio quality.

Nokia 500 Auto Navigation provides information just as any other GPS system, including points of interest such as hotels, petrol stations and tourist sites. Moreover, the user can also receive contact details for the points of interest he passes by, or receive directions for reaching destinations stored in the contacts list.

The device also includes a Traffic Message Channel Service, which proves to be extremely useful for avoiding traffic jams, approximating time of arrival and distance remaining to drive. All this is done with the help of an intuitive Nokia interface, using a split screen displaying additional information alongside the main screen.

This device also takes care of entertaining the user. It also packs a music player, which replaces the one in the car. Moreover, the user can also watch photographs or videos, as well as listen to music by means of the car's FM radio.

Nokia 500 Auto Navigation will be available across several European markets starting with the fourth quarter. The price of 300 euros proves to be quite appealing, especially when considering the high number of devices that this one is capable of replacing.
