Nokia has just announced that it will work with Du, in order to provide evolved mobile email solutions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). All consumers and business customers will benefit from the Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email mobile solutions.

Nokia looks to make quite a first impression on the UAE market, especially as there are already many other service providers working here in order to bring similar solutions. The Telecommunications Authority (TRA), in this country has observed that the mobile penetration rate is about eight times higher than that of Internet subscriptions. This makes it a stunningly fast developing telecom market, with high advantages for Nokia to pick up.

Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email is part of Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite that provides access to powerful collaboration tools such as email, contacts, calendar, device management and synchronization of file and data and enterprise applications. The great advantage that this solution brings is that it works with any mobile phone platform and is supported by a large number of devices. "Given the increasing worldwide acceptance of mobile email, we firmly believe that this service for UAE is tremendously important", says Scott Cooper, senior vice president, Mobility Solutions Unit, Enterprise Solutions, Nokia. "Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email provides du with a flexible and scalable solution that allows the company to bring mobile email to the mass market", he further declared.

"We selected Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email platform not only for the extensive range of device support but also for its advanced functionality", Andrew Grenville, Executive Vice President, Enterprise Division at du, said. Even more, "With Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email, we are able to provide a solution for every market sector, from a consumer offering through to SME and large corporations' behind-the-firewall requirements".

Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite has managed to score more than 35 new operator wins in the last 16 months. Not only that, but Nokia has sold more than 1.5 million user licenses to date. That is an excellent growing rate, bound to bring the Finnish company great profits if it continues at this rate.
