A phone announced last year by Nokia has received FCC's approval. It is the Nokia 6233 model, a business-orientated 3G phone supporting GSM 900/1800/1900MHz and WCDMA standards.

The handset measures 108mm x 46.5mm x 18mm, with a weight of 110 grams and features a 240 x 320 pixel TFT display capable of showing 262k colors. On the back of the phone there is a 2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom.

The internal memory consists of 70 MB and it can be expanded up to 2 GB via microSD cards. An FM radio is present, as well as an audio player supporting MP3 and AAC formats. It also includes dual speakers and support for audio and video streaming.

Connectivity is achieved via Bluetooth, infrared and USB. Among the other features there is a WAP 2.0 browser, an e-mail client with spam filter and Push-To-Talk (PTT) for instant connectivity.

The battery supports 3 hours of talk time and 14 days of standby time.
