Mobile phone carrier Vodafone was already known to soon get the Nexus One on its airwaves, and it seems that its customers are now closer than before to getting the device in their hands. The Nexus One by HTC, the first and currently only handset sold via Google's own web store, is now listed on the wireless operator's website in the coming soon section.

Some of the latest rumors on the matter suggested that Vodafone might get the Nexus One on its airwaves as soon as April is here, and the appearance of Nexus One in the coming soon page suggests that it shouldn't be too long before users will be able to purchase it on a contract with Vodafone. Enthusiasts have now a reason to rejoice, though it still remains to be seen when exactly the Nexus One becomes available for purchase with a Vodafone service agreement.

“Take all things Google with you when you're out and about. The powerful new Nexus One from Google combines the latest in hardware with the newest Android software - making it super fast for internet browsing, Google Maps, YouTube and more. Want apps? Check out Android Market. It's packed with apps for everything - from games, news, weather and mobile banking to Facebook and Spotify,” Vodafone notes on its website.

In case there are some who are not yet familiar with the specifications list of Nexus One, they should know that we're talking about an Android 2.1-powered device that boasts a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, along with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with flash, enhanced connectivity options and more. As stated above, the handset is available for purchase exclusively from Google.

According to omio, Vodafone won't sell the Nexus One in its stores, but it will provide users with a SIM card and will show them where to go to purchase one. It should be interesting to see how Nexus One will perform on the market, especially since Vodafone is also set to launch another Android-based handset from HTC in the near future, the HTC Legend.
