With performance improvements, but no Flash

Users of a Nexus One by HTC device, the first mobile phone that arrived on the market with the Android 2.1 operating system on board, can now enjoy a new leaked ROM for their handsets. Those who like playing with the software solutions on their device will surely enjoy installing the new software on their handsets, especially since it comes with a range of changes when compared to a previously leaked ROM for Nexus One.

The news on the newly leaked Android 2.1 update for Nexus One has been brought into the wild by the guys over at Redmond Pie. According to them, “compared to the last leaked build ERE36B, kernel and radio remains same, while there are some new changes in system/framework/*, system/app/*.apk and otacerts.zip. The kernel version for this ROM is 2.6.29-01117-g4bc62c2 android-build@apa26 #1 while baseband version is 32.26.00.24U_4.04.00.03_2.”

On the downside, it seems that the new leaked solution does not include Adobe's Flash Player (which is set to become officially available for the Android platform during the ongoing year), yet those interested in it will find it available in the previously leaked HTC Desire ROM for Nexus One. One way or the other, the new ROM is still said to come with a series of performance improvements, although nothing too impressive.

In case there are some of you who would like to try out the new leaked solution for the Nexus One, you should know that the installation procedure is a rather simple one. Those who already tried the ERE27 update should be familiar with the required steps, since they are said to be the same, while other will find them explained on Redmond Pie. However, we should note that we do not encourage the use of leaked ROMs, especially if you are not familiar with the installation process, since one might damage the device and render it useless. Even so, if you still want to give it a try, make sure you follow the instructions to the letter.
