Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion is getting ready for the launch of a new Bold model into the wild, the BlackBerry Bold 9780, which has just emerged in a new photo, even if it was not announced officially as of yet.

Of course, the handset did make it into the wild quite a few times before, but there still are some details on it unknown to us, which should be unveiled as soon as the handset is made official.

As the photo to the left shows (available via Engadget), the upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9780 resembles a lot with its predecessor, none other than the Bold 9700, aka. Bold 2.

However, this device should land on shelves with the new BlackBerry 6 OS right from the start, offering a different experience than what the older model can provide.

Some of the hardware specifications of this mobile phone would include a QWERTY keyboard, the same, familiar Bold keyboard, we might add, 512MB of RAM, as well as a 5-megapixel photo snapper.

When compared to the previous model, the new handset comes with a nice range of enhancements, even if it maintains the overall look and design elements.

Moreover, some of the previous rumors on Bold 9780, complemented by a leaked photo, also suggested that RIM might be working on a white flavor of it, something that the company did with Bold 2 in the past, as well as with other smartphones in its offering.

For the time being, little info on the market availability of this device merged into the wild.

However, we learned before that Rogers might plan its launch on the Canadian market, and that Vodafone is also readying the handset's launch in Europe.

Even so, it still remains to be seen when exactly the smartphone would arrive on shelves, as well as what price tag it might feature when made available, so stay tuned for more on this.
