Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion is readying the launch of a new handset on the market, the BlackBerry Bold 9780, and a few more info on this emerged, including the fact that Rogers might bring the device to its homeland sometime in mid-November.

The BlackBerry Bold 9780 is said to be the direct successor of the BlackBerry Bold 9700, though it hasn't been announced officially until now.

Even so, the device did make it into the wild quite a few times before, and now it emerges again, this time with more info on its release time frame, it seems.

According to a recent article on The Cellular Guru, the smartphone is expected to become available for purchase at Rogers Wireless sometime towards mid to late November.

The rumor hasn't been confirmed for the time being, but the news site says the proof is strong on the phones arrival.

As stated above, the new device should be the successor of the BlackBerry Bold 9700, which replaced the original Bold on the market.

When compared to the Bold 2 smartphone, the new device is set to bring forth some nice enhancements, though nothing mind blowing.

The BlackBerry Bold 9780 is expected to land on shelves with 512MB of RAM (double the amount on Bold 2), a 5-megapixel photo snapper (9700 had a 3MP one), and the BlackBerry 6 OS (though the Bold 9700 would also receive it).

It seems that wireless carriers around the world already started testing the device on their airwaves, and that the official launch date might not be too far into the future.

We already learned that Vodafone might get the device pretty soon on its airwaves, and it seems that Canadian carriers might also pick it up fast, though only Rogers was said until now to get it.

All in all, no exact release date for the BlackBerry Bold 9780 on Rogers' airwaves emerged, so keep an eye on this space for more.
