14 DAY TRIAL // 99Games, a developer and publisher of iPhone and iPad games, just announced the release of its new title Mystic Emporium HD for the iPad. 99Games has already developed a handful of successful titles under its name, and is now focusing on bringing out some memorable old games under Apple's logo.
The story of Mystic Emporium follows the adventure of Lilly, an enchanting young witch, as she takes over Mystic Emporium to fulfill her life-long dream of running her own magic shop. You will have to start brewing potions for all the magical creatures that wil be visiting your shop and sell various artifacts to keep running the emporium.
The HD version of the game takes advantage of the iPad's high-resolution graphics and provides players with a bigger play area giving the feel of a real magic shop. Further, the bigger screen also raises the games thumbability making it easier for the players to tap on the various elements of the screen.
Some of the key features of the game include: 24 levels of gameplay along with a Match-3 mini game that the players can play to unlock different kinds of charms; Upgrades of different values that can be purchased to improve the shop as well as make the tasks easier; Several trophies can be earned as rewards on achieving predefined goals and 12 unique magic items can be unlocked for use and sale; 7 different kinds of customers to be managed, each with a varying level of patience.
“Mystic Emporium was designed for the PC/Mac and so it made a perfect fit on the larger display of the iPad”, said Anila Andrade of 99Games. “The iPhone version of the game was received very well by Time Management game lovers and we hope to get the same response on the iPad”, she added.
While the iPhone version of the game was released in February, the HD version for the iPad is available on the App Store for $ 4.99 starting this week.
