Although Nvidia's Fermi architecture has reached the laptop market quite some time ago it is never to late to release a new Fermi-based notebook, Muse Computers of Japan just announcing they are introducing a new gaming laptop based on the GTX 460M GPU.

As its usually the case with such gaming notebooks, the new m-Book P line will come with top of the line hardware, Muse going for Core i5 and Core i7 mobile processors as well as a maximum 8GB of RAM.

The three CPU options available are the Intel Core i5-560M, Intel Core i7-740QM and the Core i7-840QM, the latest coming with 8MB L3 Cache and a 1.86GHz base frequency that can go as high as 3.20GHz when Turbo Boost kicks in.

On th storage side of things, a 500Gb hard drive comes as standard, although users can opt for a roomier drive or a SSD, if they so desire.

Whatever route you may decide to take, all the solutions come with GeForce GTX 460M graphics with 1536MB of dedicated video buffer memory as well as with a high-res 15.6 inch display that has a native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.

Other features include a DVD burner, a 2MP webcam, a multi-format card reader as well as high definition sound and WiFi and Ethernet connectivity.

In addition, Muse has also included a HDMI output, USB 3.0 and eSATA connectivity, the built-in battery being able to power this gaming monster for a measly 1.25 hours, according to the Japanese company.

Although we don't actually know if this will ever be available outside of Japan, Muse has them ready for pre-order right now, although shipping will begin January 12, 2011.

As far as pricing is concerned, the Core i5 model is priced at 110,000 Yen (about $1318 US) while the top of the line “High-spec configuration” featuring the Core i7 840QM CPU is available for 159,600 Yen (or about $1912 US). (via akihabaranews)
