Origin PC decided it was time to cause some large ripples on the gaming front, so it prepared the EON17, the third EON laptop and one which combines several major assets, such as high-end CPUs, DirectX 11 graphics and 3D streaming via HDMI.

Origin's EON series of mobile computers is made up of high-end laptops, and the latest in the line spared no expense when it chose its hardware.

The EON17 has a configuration centered around either a quad-core CPU or a six-core central processing unit.

Said CPU is backed up by up to a full 24 GB of RAM, which means that the graphics card will be the only thing left to determine the machine's overall might.

Fortunately, the PC maker did not hold back in this regard either, throwing in the one and only DirectX 11-capable NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480M discrete solution.

This GPU will definitely make a good pair with the 17.3-inch Full HD display (resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels).

Not only that, but purchasers will even have the possibility of choosing not just one, but two such adapters.

Of course, the rest of the feature set is on the same level, as is shown by the hard disk drive of 1TB or the solid state drive of 512 GB.

What's more, the product comes with a DVD burner or a Blu-ray writer, for optical storage and multimedia playback.

Other specifications include five speakers, a subwoofer, a 9-in-1 card reader, HDMI 1.4 outputs and an 88.8WHr battery.

The Origin PC EON17 has a starting price of $2,499 and is pre-loaded with the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

Those interested in acquiring more information on this gaming laptop need only stop by the official product page that its maker has already set up on its website.
