Spotify, the highly popular music service in Europe, has just made its official debut on the market in the United States, and teamed with Motorola for the release of its service on the North American market on mobile devices and tablet PCs.

In the coming weeks, the mobile phone maker will kick off a series of marketing campaigns aimed at rising awareness on the availability of Spotify’s on-demand music streaming service for its customers.

“The collaboration between Motorola and Spotify is the ultimate way to deliver the compelling music choices users are looking for on their mobile device,” said Bill Ogle, chief marketing officer, Motorola Mobility.

“As an exclusive launch partner of Spotify, we are able to provide our consumers not only with innovative products, but also premium access to an unparalleled music experience.”

Motorola Mobility is continuously focused on expanding the capabilities of its devices by partnering with various companies.

The collaboration on music services like Spotify should provide mobile phone users with new, compelling choices, so that they can discover and share new music regardless where they are.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Spotify is an award-winning digital music service that offers users the possibility to enjoy on-demand access to one of the biggest music libraries in the world.

Through this service, users will enjoy both free and paid options when it comes to discovering, managing and sharing music with friends.

Basically, uses can enjoy either a free, ad-supported version of the service, as well as subscription-based options. A mobile application is available for those Spotify Premium subscribers who would like to enjoy music on-the-go on some of Motorola's latest Android devices.

“We are very excited to be bringing Spotify to the U.S., and to be working with partners such as Motorola towards our goal of making all the world's music available for everyone to enjoy, whenever they want it and wherever they are,” Ken Parks, chief content officer and managing director, Spotify, North America.
